Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks: Aaron Rehel

As a player, Aaron Rehel played two seasons as a running back at St. Charles College during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. During this time he won the Running Back All-Star, Kick and Punt Returning All-Star, the Chris Bartolucci Offensive Player of the Year and the Sid Forster League's Most Valuable Player. Aaron went on to play at the University of Ottawa for 5 years between the 2006 and 2010 season, in which he was part of the OUA Championship season in 2007.

 

As a coach, Aaron is returning with the Sudbury Gladiators for his 3rd year as Head Coach of the Sudbury Gladiators Varsity part of the Football Club. Throughout his time as part of the organization he has had many roles with the organization as a coach; from running backs coach, offensive assistant, offensive coordinator, and most recently as head coach and defensive co-ordinator of the Varsity team. He has also coached at St. Charles College for 5 years as Offensive Co-ordinator.

Coach Rehel will be returning for his third consecutive year as Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator with the Varsity Sudbury Gladiators.

Jeff has been around football his entire life and from a very young age started coaching. He has spent the better part of the last 12 years coaching football after suffering a serious ankle injury keeping him off the field. He has spent time with the Joe Macdonald Youth Football League and the Lockerby Vikings. Jeff has been on the executive for the JMYFL for 3 years and has coached in the league for 6 seasons.

This is Jeff's second season with the Gladiators and he is excited for the start of the season. He brings a ton of passion, excitement and knowledge to the game. He wants to give back to the game that has given him everything. Jeff lives his life by CFL receiver and friend Chad Owens motto, "Adversity Fuels Me. Hard Work Defines Me. Passion. Separates Me."

Atheletic Therapist - Andre Paquette B.A. (Kin), CAT (C)

Mr. Paquette is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a specialization in Athletic Therapy with have extensive knowledge in human anatomy and physiology, massage techniques, taping and bracing as well as orthopedic assessment and rehabilitation. Andre's special interests are in treating knees and shoulder with manual therapy combined with exercise and work/sport-specific training with a focus on helping clients to return to work or sport as quickly and safely as possible.
  
Andre has gained his certification as an Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association.  Upon certification,  he continue to expand his skills with courses on Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Release, Lumbar Spine: Assessment and Treatment, First Aid Instructor, First Responder, CPR and Automated External Defibrillation.
 
During Andre's career as an Athletic Therapist, he has worked at numerous clinics in Winnipeg and Sudbury as well as with various sports teams, which include Head Therapist for the Fort Garry Lions Football club and Manitoba U16 Provincial Soccer Team, as well as in Sudbury for the Cambrian College Golden Shield.  Mr. Paquette also provide Sports Event/First Aid coverage for the Sudbury District Secondary School Athletic Association Senior Boys’ Football League, as well as various events such as Track and Field, NOSSA hockey and football championships for the Sudbury School Board.

Strength & Conditioning Coach - Troy Beauregard

Troy is the Director of Strength and Conditioning at RHP Training Centre. With over 17 years of experience, Troy has made training individuals and team his life. Troy’s expertise at dry land training has touched many athletes in many different sports. He has worked with hockey players, boxers, volleyball, soccer, baseball and football players. He has also worked with skiers, powerlifters and athletes in Track and competitive bodybuilding. Troy is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the OHL Sudbury Wolves, the NOJHL Rayside Balfour Canadians, Sudbury Lady Wolves Major Midget AA and the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves AAA teams.

 

During Troy’s years of experience he has also worked with special populations, including car accident victims and cancer survivors. He has also trained clients with fitness and weight loss goals and guided these people to reach their full potential.

 

Along with being a certified personal trainer, Troy has certifications in Sports Strength, Sports Movement, TRX and BOSU. Troys ambition/objective is to train his clients weaknesses and further develop their strengths in order to help each of them reach their personal goals
